Bali, Indonesia to Perth, Australia (days 33 to 38 - Feb. 8, 2023 to Feb. 13, 2023)
Off to the land of Aus
Day 33
The sun was finally out the morning I left from Bali. After packing and eating breakfast, I had about a half hour to wander around before I wanted to leave for the airport. Made a quick walk to the beach nearby. It was noticeably cleaner along the beach now, I imagine due to the more favorable weather. Seems like staff from the hotels and resorts along the beach clean up the garbage that littered the beaches in front of their properties.
One plane ride later, it was back in Australia with my family :D It is great to be back here to see them. The little nephew seems all grown up since I visited last year (must be that first birthday he just had).
Day 34
Went with my sister and nephew to Fremantle for a few hours. It’s a nice spot along the coast full of old Victorian style buildings from the British colony days. Cicerello's was our stop for lunch, now a bit of a tradition I suppose :D They sell some really good fish and chips. Actually happens to be the location my sister and brother in law went on their first date :D After lunch we walked the streets for a bit and found a coffee shop for a quick stop. The weather was beautiful, clear blue skies, a light breeze, and low 80 degree temperatures.
Days 35 to 37
Went down south to Mandurah for a weekend on the canals. Had a great time relaxing here by the water with the family. Spent time paddleboarding, swimming, and eating out a few times together.
